The Day of the LORD is at Hand was written to awaken the saints of the Most High to the lateness of the hour, and to provide insight into true meaning of the prophecies in the Bible. After the LORD directed me to write this book, I sat down at my computer and prayed: "Lord I dont know where to start. I don't even have a title for the book." Looking down at an open Bible on my desk, I read Isaiah 13:6. "The Day of the LORD is at Hand." I thought to myself, that will do. I then prayed, "LORD, I don't even know where to begin. What shall I say?" Then I heard Him speak: "Tell them this: tell them Take Heed No Man Deceive You." I wrote the first paragraph of the book. Then I prayed again. "What should I say now LORD?" "Tell them about the fig tree." And so the book began.

 

Over the next seven weeks, I typed over 300 pages, working night and day. Many times, after an 18 to 20 hour day of typing, the LORD would awaken me after one or two hours of sleep and say "Get up! You have to work!" I would answer, "Oh LORD, I am so tired, can't I sleep a little longer." "NO, You have to get up and work. Get up and pray and I will strengthen you." I would struggle out of bed, lift my hands and say In Jesus Name, and a tidal wave of the anointing would hit, I would jump up out of bed fully rested and begin to type for another 18 to 20 hours... This went on for weeks on end.... As long as the anointing of the Holy Spirit was upon me, I would sit at my computer and type. When the anointing would lift, I would stand up and pray until the anointed returned, and then I would begin to type again. For seven weeks all I did was pray and type this book. While I was writing the book, the LORD gave the following word:

"The book will remain your top priority,

for this work is more important

than any understand.

It is a foundational word

 for the preparation of my remnant

 who will be called in this hour

 and it will be used to ready the people

 for the return of my Son.

 Everything you need

for the purposes of this word

shall be provided to you."

 

When I had finished the book, I thought is that I had typed a manuscript. I had no idea it would ever be published. I gave a copy to a retired business man who took the manuscript to Hawaii on vacation. His wife began reading at 9 pm the first night. They stayed up all night while she read the book to him outloud. A sixty year old couple pulled an all nighter to finish reading this book.

When they returned from Hawaii they called me and told me they thought the book should be published, and then they gave me a check for $5,000 towards the cost. So I prayed, "LORD, if you want me to publish this book, I guess I need a publisher." That night I sat at dinner with a number of people I had never met, they all went around introducing themselves. The man on my right told me he was a Christian Book Publisher. As we worked to finish the book, we were scheduled to meet on the Eve of Yom Kippur to make the final changes and start the print run. The costs were going to be three times the money I had. I stood in my house with one hour remaining, and I lifted my watch to heaven and said, "I am printing the book now LORD, and you have one hour to get me the rest of the money we need." While I was speaking, the phone rang, and the business man who originally helped me was on the line. He said "I can't stop thinking about the book you wrote. I will come by your home tonight and give you a blank check to finance whatever you need to finish the work."

The LORD spoke to me in late 1996 regarding the message of this book. I stood trembling, listening to the voice of the Father; His words sounded as thunder:
